SCRIPTFinder provides the ability to locate and parse words within Handwritten Unstructured Fields or Text. Also, SCRIPTFinder discovers and segments email addresses and passes the segmented snippets on to EDAC’s ReadSCRIPT® for index extraction. SCRIPTFinder conducts handwriting analysis on each image in order to locate and separate each word in a field, line or paragraph. It evaluates the snippet containing each word image and may increases the snippet size to ensure nothing overlaps the edges. If the document has lines or is a form with boxes, SCRIPTFinder performs line or form drop out to increase the accuracy of the Intelligent Word Recognition (IWR) executed by EDAC’s ReadSCRIPT later in the capture workflow process. Subsequently, SCRIPTFinder returns the number of words found and the XY Coordinates of each word to ReadSCRIPT for recognition.

SCRIPTFinder finds the location of each handwritten email address within structured and unstructured documents. Upon discovery, the solution divides the email into three parts based on the location of the “@”, the “name”, the “@”, and then the “Provider”. Then it passes the snippet of each result to EDAC’s ReadSCRIPT for interpretation.
